In the immediate neighborhood of our house you can find challenging golf courses with breathtaking views of the Alps. In the midst of the dreamlike alpine scenery 9- and 18-hole golf courses with tees in all degrees of difficulty are waiting for you.

High up in the air with a hot air balloon

Discover the Allgäu from above. Would you like to take a look at the Allgäu from a bird’s eye view? In that case, get in touch with the qualified flight schools in Bolsterlang and the surrounding area.

Hiking

Rugged mountain peaks, green mountain lakes and shady forests – if your toes are already tingling, you’d better pack your hiking boots! In Bolsterlang there are varied tours in the middle altitude. You will hike through forests, wade through streams and cross meadows up to the high trails of the Hörnergruppe. Would you like something less demanding – it is your vacation after all – take the route in the valley. There you will find only slightly hilly terrain.

Ski

Wide, narrow, steep and flat slopes: The ski region around Bolsterlang and Oberstdorf invites you to winter sports with an amazing variety: skiing, snowboarding or winter hiking on 7 different peaks.

The skiing area “Zwei-Ländereck” of the OK Bergbahnen convinces with 130 kilometers of downhill runs, about 70 slopes, 48 modern lifts and gondolas and 7 skiing areas.

Cross-country skiing

The cross-country trails in the “Hörnerdörfer”: A paradise for cross-country skiers. Classically groomed, prepared for skating and always with a view of the dreamlike scenery of the Allgäu Alps. In the region you will find over 110 km of groomed cross-country ski trails connecting the villages of Ofterschwang, Bolsterlang, Obermaiselstein and Fischen. The cross-country trail passes directly by our house. So grab your skis and get on directly in front of the house!

Nordic Walking

But even if you love the wind blowing around your nose: take breaks, get off your bike and experience the nature of Bolsterlang and the Allgäu. The mountains will not disappoint you. Swimming & Sunbathing

Do you have a water lover in the family? Or do you like to swim a lap or two yourself? In this case, visit one of the swimming pools in Bolsterlang. In the neighboring village of Fischen there is the Fischen adventure and family pool, which invites families to a relaxing day of swimming. If you prefer to relax by a lake, Bolsterlang and its neighboring villages have quiet swimming lakes waiting for you. You will find natural lakes, lakes with playgrounds and diving towers as well as bathing lakes with sunbathing lawns for your sunbathing in Bolsterlang.

Water sports

Experience Bolsterlang, the Allgäu and Bavaria on the water: By a sailboat. See the breathtaking lake landscape with your own eyes and marvel at the Allgäu nature from a different perspective. You won’t get wet in the process either. Maybe a good start to a day trip? The Oberallgäu water sports school offers sailing courses. And if you want even more action, try out canyoning or rafting!

Climbing

Climb high up and enjoy the view. The high ropes course in Bolsterlang was built on an open meadow and up to eight meters in height. On site you will find various elements to move through the air like Tarzan for once. With safety carabiners, of course. The Söllereck climbing forest also offers a great day outdoors for the whole family. Here, it is Germany’s highest forest ropes course with different courses to offer every climber their perfect level of difficulty. Another high ropes course is the Bärenfalle climbing forest in Immenstadt. In addition to the high ropes course, it also offers the possibility to have a bite to eat or to use Germany’s longest year-round toboggan run.

Paragliding

The Allgäu is a wonderful place. Not only can you experience nature here on foot and by bike, but also from a bird’s eye view. The flight schools in Bolsterlang and the surrounding area offer you this unique experience. You can glide through the air for up to almost two hours and enjoy your tandem flight through the Allgäu. A paragliding flight is a ticket to another dimension, because only flying is more beautiful!

Kite flying

If you prefer to feel even more adrenaline in your veins, you should go on a hang gliding flight. Flight schools in the Allgäu offer not only paragliding and tandem flights, but also hang gliding. Here you float bound to a kite through the air and over peaks and valleys. Experienced hang gliders can not only land again, but also ascend to different heights. Hang gliding in the Allgäu is definitely an activity that you won’t easily forget!

Hörnerbahn

If you rent a vacation apartment at Landhaus Alpenglühen, you can take the Hörnerbahn up or down the Allgäu mountains once a day from May to November for free. At the top, you can stop at numerous inns and marvel at the Allgäu from above.
